Grauer & Weil , keeping with its commitment to Innovation and Quality, had procured the SCHATZ analyse system an Equipment which can be used to determine the relationship between the rotational torque and clamping force for the fasteners of size M6 to M 24. This equipment can measure torque up to 1000 NM.
The relationship between the torque and the clamping force during fastening operation is as shown in the graphs attached herewith. From the graph it can be seen that the bolt is fastened with a pre-determined clamping force (X-AXIS) with increasing torque (Y-AXIS). The table shows the value of total torque, bearing torque and the thread torque before the yield point of the bolt. This enables the calculation of total co-efficient of friction, bearing co-efficient of friction and thread co-efficient of friction as given in the report which is also attached herewith.
In Addition to the co-efficient of friction the equipment can measure the yield clamp force, yield tightening torque, ultimate clamp force and ultimate tightening torque. |
