CONTINUOUS PLATING PLANTS

Continuous Plating plant refers to systems designed to plate wires, strips and tubes in continuous motion. The raw stock is unwound from a de-coiler to pass through a plating sequence, either in a straight line or in loops, as the case may be.

The process tanks are fitted with a drive and contact rollers and also current contact, together with auto-brushing systems wherever required. The plant design incorporates special features and is often built on a two-tier system where the process tank is turned into the holding tank to maintain critical overflow levels of the electrolyte.

The D.C. system is reinforced to carry and transmit heavy current loads typically required in continuous plating operations.

In case of plating of wider strips, it is sometimes necessary to incorporate auto guiding mechanism to ensure proper tracking of the workload in transition.

Typical applications are as follows,

- Zinc plating of tubes.

- Zinc plating of wires.

- Zinc or zinc alloy plating of strips.

- Copper plating of strips.
