Rules & Regulations
- Download and fill the membership form and submit along with fees, two photographs and address proof.
- New members shall be required to pay lump sum amount of Rs. 5000/- as club membership fees, at the time of joining. The fees shall be valid for one year and is non-refundable even if the member leaves the club before one year.
- The field facility at Pithawalla College can be used as follows:
- On weekdays (Monday to Friday) – Morning 8 to 10 AM.
- On weekends (Saturday, Sunday) – Morning 7.30 AM till dusk, whole day.
- New members can associate themselves with an experienced person who can guide and act as ‘trainer’ the newcomer to flying. The ‘trainer’ and the member will be mutually responsible for deciding the training fees and other terms and conditions like repairing of model etc. The club does not take the responsibility for the above as it is deemed that this is purely an accord between the new member and the ‘trainer’.
- HFAAS members shall use the designated field at CK Pithawalla college strictly in line with following rules and regulation:
2.1) only members with ID’s and vehicle pass will be allowed inside the college. Visitors are to accompany the members and are to inform prior to coming to field.
2.2) Members shall use the designated grass field to fly the models. No other facility or area of the college is allowed to be used for any other activity. Members are not allowed to go to other areas of the college.
General rules and regulations of the club:
1. Strict adherence to the safety code.
2. No flying while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
3. No flying over the pit and parking areas.
4. All takeoffs and landings will be on the runway in the direction of the prevailing wind.
5. No takeoffs or taxiing in / from the pit area is permitted. All run-ups are to be performed on the airfield side of the pit line.
7. Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas.
9. No unsupervised children allowed in the pit area or on the flight line.
10. No pets allowed in the pit area or on the runway. All pets must be kept on a leash.
12. Each member is responsible for disposal of their own refuse.
13. No wilful damage to the club flying sites and facilities.
14. No open fires.
15. No unsportsmanlike conduct.
17. No more than five (5) aircraft may be airborne at any one time. When a backlog of waiting aircraft exists, flyers shall restrict their flight time to 15 minutes maximum.
18. The use of a spotter is recommended to assist flyers in avoiding collisions.
19. Other rules may be invoked during special events at the discretion of the contest director or event coordinator.
